As we come to the close of another year, we want to thank you for standing with our community and for helping make access to justice possible when it matters most. Family law issues often arise during the most vulnerable moments in a person’s life. Families in Oregon too often face crises and must make impossible decisions without clear information or support. And without legal help, the consequences for a family can last a lifetime.

At St. Andrew Legal Clinic, accessible family law services are more than help with paperwork or court appearances. They are the first doorway to safety, stability, and hope. By addressing family law needs early and compassionately, we help create space for families to connect to broader support systems with our trusted community partners, social services, counseling resources, and safety planning. One conversation can open the door to many forms of help.
Most importantly, our work changes lives – especially for children. When parents have the guidance to make clear plans, children are more likely to remain safe, connected to caregivers, and shielded from chaos during times of uncertainty.
This year, parents, survivors, caregivers, immigrants and refugees, and veterans came to SALC during moments filled with fear, uncertainty, and life-changing decisions. What made the difference was knowing they were not facing those moments alone.
As we look ahead to the new year, we remain committed to meeting families where they are, strengthening partnerships within the community, and ensuring that access to family law support remains open to all who need it.
